SURFING ELVIS & THE KILLER WAVES

Surfing Elvis & The Killer Waves were a short-lived Elvis Presley cover surf band project by members of classic hits on punk rock cover band Only Entertainment.

Surfing Elvis & The Killer Waves formed in autumn 1995 for a one-off gig at an Elvis cover festival at Antonius Zalencentrum, Leiden, on November 4, 1995. The band consisted of Only Entertainment (and later Toner Low) members Deef (rhythm guitar), Jack (drums) and Danny (lead and rhythm guitar), with Disconnect (and later Kru$h) bassist Michel. They rehearsed together a couple of times in October and early November (of those rehearsal dates only October 25 is certain), and did a 30 minute live set of Elvis hits performed as instrumental surf songs. The band didn't make any studio recordings, although an unreleased live recording of their one and only show exists.
